I had such fun reading this and it took my mind off of how bad I was feeling at that time (I got Covid). Ughhhhh whyyyyy did this end on a cliffhanger and there’s no info on a release date for the next one. Her mission requires she get close, but one wrong (or right 😉) step could have her trapped in their thrall forever.

plot - the plot is meh during this book (they literally fight, drink, and have sex 24/7) but the ending sets up a really nice direction for the story to go in.These boys screamed my sort of crazy and I could not wait to see what sort of laughs and destruction they bought to the writing table. Port Black is a little darker than Emerald Lakes, but the demons are 🥵🥵🥵 and Palmer is 🔥🔥🔥 I love all these characters. This book took me on such a unique journey that I don't think I was even prepared for half the shit that was thrown at me. This book just fascinated me so much and kept me waiting to see what would happen next and I just enjoyed reading this book so much. But I absolutely loved how this book took on these tropes, everything about this book worked for me.

I needed the comfort of a familiar book this week and I'm glad I chose the audio of Demons in My Bed.

My emotions were going through the wringer during this ARC 😂 I loved how Palmer is such a badass and gives no shits. This story was made brilliant by the superb narration by Jake and Bridget Bordeaux, they breathed life, personality and sex appeal into each character. However, it doesn't take long for Palmer to see that these powerful Demons have more to them, lurking just under the surface of their dangerous and violent acts. Being a spirit witch the only power she has is her ability to talk to the dead, and her familiar Snake.

From the author of Emerald Lakes, Demons in My Bed is the first book in the new, Demons of Port Black, series, set in the same world as Emerald Lakes. I might look like a snack to these males - who have been apex predators for far too long - but I assure you, I’m nobody’s prey. There are others pulling strings that neither Palmer nor the guys know about and that in itself poses a huge threat. They are all infatuated with her…well except for Rhodes who is very suspicious especially because he starts getting messages from an unknown right around the same time. This is yet another triumph for this talented duo and honestly, the accents Jake laid out were superb.

Rhodes was definitely giving me Sloane vibes with his alphahole attitude 😤😤 and I didn’t even like Sloane until the middle/end of Book 3 in Emerald Lakes. She doesn’t expect the mixed feelings she gets like she’s missing something about the demons that she’s not been told. I absolutely love Britt's Emerald Lakes series so I had HIGH hopes for DIMB, and she did not disappoint. I have been so excited to see more of The Exiled since their cameo in the Emerald Lakes series written by Britt Andrews last year.
