About this deal

By the time I got where I was going the engine was at temperature and the light had stopped flashing and gone off completely. Why oh why can’t manufacturers put some kind of indicator in place to tell the driver that the DPF burn is in progress so they can choose to keep going until it completes? This might concievably have been because, until the representative showed up to view my car, it was unclear whether the repair works would be covered under warranty.

The fuel filter was changed about 4 months ago by a mechanic friend with a genuine Honda part and I had just topped up with a full tank of V Power. I dont think you need the engine running, just keep priming the bulb above the filter till it gets rock solid, run the car for a minute and then pump it again till its hard, hopefully that should clear any air in the system. I wired a 2 gang outlet on one circuit and a security light to a switch on the other breaker, both with 14/2 romex. That said, you could be chucking perfectly serviceable plugs but while you've got your head under the bonnet and the sake of a fewe quid. In my bongo the fuses for internal lights, mirrors etc are connected to the leisure battery and for some reason when the low voltage cutout operates because the battery is discharged, when the engine is started the glowplug light flashes until the battery begins to charge and switches cutout back on and then the light stops flashing and turns off.

A flashing glow plug warning light usually means that either the brake light switch is failing, or the brake light bulbs have blown. Connections between quantity adjuster OB3 (N146) and VW engine control unit (N1:99, N1:106, N1:108, N1:116, N1:121) shorted or faulty. OK, update - the glowplug indicator light is no longer flashing on the dash today but now there is a red battery light showing - this comes on after the car has been running for a few minutes! The thing is so much trouble if my wife uses it on lots of short journeys that I'm tempted to do one of the re-maps that are being offered online to take the EGR valve out of the ECU completely - they claim 15% more power and better economy. Even though most FWD cars have the engine cross-ways and no mechanical fan on the front of the engine itself.

I was driving along the motorway and the diesel glow light plug started to flash and I was losing power.Sunday dropped my multi meter down rear of engine managed to find it under the pipe that runs along the front of the engine any way start the engine see if checks made any difference no flashing glow plug decide to check if there's anything where I dropped multi meter find a connection with a spring loaded clip you have to push to release don't know what its for cant see it but feels loose manage to get it off clean it and adjust connections took a while to get it back on as I cant see it and there's not much room up to now that seems to have fixed the problem but I've no idea what it is down there but has 2 cables Just hoping that flashing Glow plug light problem is solved ? The good guys at Stratstone have had a look at the car and have found nothing un-toward withthe car, No codes, not even any old ones.
