About this deal

If you are looking to add a new special item to your record collection or want to surprise someone with an exclusive gift, you can find one by browsing our growing collection of colored vinyl and rare, unique records. Produced by the composers themselves, this album features 32 tracks, a mix of song and score from the mini-series. Track "Old Black Train" is based off the 1800's gospel song "Little Black Train" and its subsequent interpretations by Woody Guthrie, etc - but the lyrics was changed to fit the context of the series. Though it is November and the leaves are perpetually descending from their mantle atop branches, I'd still suggest viewing Over The Garden Wall. Fair warning: I imagined the vinyl to look more sparkly golden but it’s definitely more of a tan now that I see it in person.

Packaging is also excellent minus the fact that the songbook being put too far into the jacket sleeve can cause it to be unable to close. Pressed on 140 Gram Vinyl, featuring original artwork by Sam Wolf Connelly, and a 20 page booklet featuring lyrics from every song, as well as sheet music, so you can play along! Unofficial theme song 'In The Unknown' is obvious, but the hooting and hollering of 'Pottsfield CM,' the mature Randy Newman in 'Patient Is The Night,' the fanciful frolic of 'Adelaide Parade,' and the hilarious unrequited love on 'Ms Langtree's Lament' are just some examples of Over The Garden Wall's prowess at making short and memorable melodies. Hence why I suggest viewing the series instead of the soundtrack, as you'll get the best of both worlds there.

Pressed on 180 Gram Vinyl, featuring original artwork by Sam Wolf Connelly, and a 20 page booklet featuring lyrics from every song, as well as sheet music, so you can play along! Now I discover that there actually IS an official soundtrack to this series, and it's even more comprehensive than the 'deluxe' version I scrounged from obscure YouTube uploads (there's even a version with bonus tracks!

We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres. Extremely autumnal and Americana in spirit, the soundtrack reflects the show’s various visually aesthetic influences to a T, and includes covers of songs popularized by the likes of Woody Guthrie and other artists from the early 20th century alongside its original work.it is so insanely hard for me to listen to a soundtrack to say, a video game, or anything for that matter, and not be completely bored. A gorgeous sleeve and disc colour too, being almost opaque for me if flat on a service but ripply if held up to the light.

I listen to this soundtrack a couple times a week so having a brand new copy that I could get at retail just is amazing. RICH AMERICAN FOLKLORE CULLING THE FALLEN LEAVES First let's reiterate a sentiment shared by any who review The Blasting Company's Over The Garden Wall soundtrack: Go watch the TV series.Vote up content that is on-topic, within the rules/guidelines, and will likely stay relevant long-term. i don't remember exactly how i was able to get around to watching it, but when i did, i absolutely loved every single thing about it.

As I said on my previous review, my choice highlights have to be the tracks featuring vocal contributions from veteran singers Jack Jones ("Into the Unknown" and the title track) and Chris Isaak ("Patient is the Night"), since they each bring a honeyed warmth to their songs that makes for an ideal match for the series' gently whimsical tone; "Patient in the Night" in particular is absolutely gorgeous - so crisply autumnal! this is the greatest soundtrack to ever exist, and it pairs so well with the greatest show to ever exist. Two years later we made the move to our present address, 35 The Headrow, where we have remained ever since. Classic American staples like Chamber Folk, Dixieland, Ragtime, and Baroque Pop plop in and out of existence, mixed naturally with ominous Ambient fanfare. It's best set in the lead-up to Halloween though, given the vibrant, mellifluous use of whimsical characters both kind and wicked. And whilst I'd be kidding myself if I said that most of the tracks here could truly stand on their own feet outside of the context of the series itself, their innate charm and childlike sweetness makes me think that I'd enjoy this album even if I hadn't already watched and and adored the show they come from (and if you have seen the series, then listening to this is like wrapping yourself in a warm, hand-stitched blanket of nostalgia). Interesting enough, towards the back half some elaborative measures are taken that provide an unexpected aura to the LP, namely the anthemic, Pink Floyd-esque Rock of 'The Fight Is Over,' the mesmeric Synthwave of 'Tiny Star,' and the opera music on 'Come Wayward Souls. Composed and performed by The Blasting Company (Brandon Armstrong, Joshua Kaufman, Justin Rubenstein) Over The Garden Wall is a one of a kind experience. Truthfully, as is the case with most instrumental passages removed from their origin, the Ambient moments dotting Over The Garden Wall don't offer much in the way of replayability.
