About this deal

I’ve had mixed experience with the Otaku switches. The manual pushbutton one is good, but the 6×3 has some potential voltage issues. The 10×3 was good, but there are many board revisions, so you might have slightly different results.

Multicore cable with conductors the width of a few hairs, with hardly any screening between cores on most cables, and made in China usually - not got much going for it apart from the cheap prices. Big advantage of component is that you can use full size well screened cables with good quality phono connectors. BNC connectors on the quality performance kit ( TAG etc) SCPH-7500X& SCPH-7700X have some issues with both PS1 and PS2 games, but aren’t as bad as the 9000x. YUV has the potential to deliver a Progressive scan Video signal whilst RGB equipped Video sources mostly output an Interlaced signal - this is the key difference for many folk who have a Progressive capable Display or TV. A video card and drivers capable of supporting interlaced resolutions - some don't, notably early versions of the official nVidia drivers for Linux are broken and won't let you turn on interlacing.Based on the testing I did, it seems the auto-switching works fine and is safe, however you might get interference if multiple consoles are powered on at the same time. Which is fair, cause you really shouldn’t do that anyway.

An untested guide for this is available at http://ryoandr.free.fr/english.html , with the pinout being as below: If RGB was available on BNC outputs on DVD players and RGB BNC inputs on quality display devices, would be a great picture I guess ! Arrêté du 3 juillet 2015 abrogeant l'arrêté du 7 février 1980 portant homologation et mise en application obligatoire de la norme française NF C 92-250". Legifrance. SCPH-9000X models are know to have performance, reliability and compatibility issues and should probably be avoided. They are easily identified by having an integrated power supply, instead of an external one.HDMI Cables: At the moment, no plug-and-play HDMI cable supports all resolutions from the PS2. In almost all cases, if you’re gaming on a flat-panel, it’s best to just use a component video cable and scaler (links below). But to make sure, you need to test them all for continuity. If you have a multimeter, great. If not, you can connect a couple wires to a battery then find an electrical device with a low amperage draw and try to power it through various pins on the VGA cable. I used a 40mm computer fan and 9V battery as I had a 9v connecter spare and the fan had nice small pointy wires to poke in to pins and other wires. Domestic and similar electronic equipment interconnection requirements: Peritelevision connector (PDF). British Standards Institution. 15 June 1998. ISBN 0580298604. In most cases, PS1 discs can be run on a PS2 and perform identically. I’ll list the few shortcomings below, but for the most part, it’s exactly like playing the games on a PS1. requires use of nVidia's legacy drivers, for which XV handles interlacing incorrectly, so you need lots of grunt from the CPU. Doesn't work at all with nv or nouveau drivers as of Novemeber 2008.
