(36 sts) You could probably use any combination of cotton yarn from sport to DK to aran to bulky but I’d just recommend that you hold at least 2 strands of yarn and adjust how many rounds your crochet to match the measurements of the coaster. This is the key to achieving the sturdy, macramé look or else the coaster will be a bit floppy and more like a doily.

ROUND 6: *SC 4, 2SC; rep from * until end. For ROUND 7: rep *2SC, SC 5; until end. For ROUND 8: rep *SC 6, 2SC; until end.
