These features add up to an excellent vacuum cleaner for a great price. The Air Lift Steerable Pet is one of the most popular Vax models on the market – and for good reason. It’s highly versatile, due to its attachments and removable canister, plus it has powerful suction (especially considering the price). A bonus is that the vacuum is easy to empty, although the open design means we don’t recommend it for allergy sufferers. We don’t think it’s the most manoeuvrable vacuum on the market, but the steerable design does help when vacuuming around the home. We also like that it has a lightweight cylinder that can be lifted from the main body for easier stair cleaning, which helps solve a common issue for upright vacs. It’s worth noting that Vax recommends replacing the HEPA filter every 1-2 years, depending on how often you vacuum. This adds to the lifetime cost of the vacuum cleaner. You’ll also need to regularly clean the pre-motor filter to ensure the vacuum continues to be effective. Emptying & Cleaning
The most important accessory is the pet turbo tool, which is handy for cleaning stairs, sofas, and other areas with high traffic. This attaches to the hose, allowing you to clean areas that are difficult to access with the main floorhead. If you’re looking for a pet vacuum, we think the Vax Air Lift Steerable Pet is probably the best option from this brand. It’s powerful, comes with a turbo tool, and features ahandy detachable canister A downside is that the U85-AS-Pme doesn’t come with Vax’s “Steerable” technology. While it’s relatively lightweight, we still think there are more mobile options for manoeuvring around the home. If you’re looking for a vacuum that’s easy to manoeuvre around the home, a Vax Steerable, Dyson Ball or Shark Swivel model would be better. Tools & Accessories As the pet turbo tool attaches to the hose, the Vax provides excellent cleaning performance on stairs. It’s easy to clean both sides of a step, which isn’t the case for uprights without a pet tool.

Vax are one of the best manufacturers if you’re looking for an affordable UK vacuum cleaner. While their products can’t match other brands for advanced features and all-round cleaning performance, the best Vax vacuum cleaners provide excellent value for money.
Another feature we like is that the ONEPWR comes with a removable battery. Batteries are often the first components to need replacing on cordless vacuums, and the Vax makes it easy. It also provides up to 45-minutes of run-time from a 3-hour charge, which is more than respectable. Tripped’ reset systems are the most common reasons for a brushbar not turning, but there are some other less common reasons too. These include:A complaint we have about the tools is that they are fiddly to attach and detach. This is a shame, as it makes the vacuum less convenient and enjoyable to use. It’s also an easy problem for Vax to fix – there’s no reason for a modern vacuum to have tools that are difficult to use. In fact, you’ll probably be surprised at how much dust and dirt the U85-AS-Pme is able to pull from carpets, even if they’ve recently been cleaned with other vacuums. Remove the lid and lift the filter out of the top of the dirt container, tap to get all of the dust off. The U85-AS-Pme (the model reviewed in this article) is the pet version of the Air Reach, so it comes with a pet turbo tool. The U85-AS-Be is similar in most respects, but doesn’t have a turbo tool. In summary, we think the Air Lift Steerable Pet is one of the best Vax vacuum cleaners on the market at the moment. It’s especially good if you have a cat, dog or other pet. The turbo tool is perfect for removing pet hair, but it also excels at almost any other cleaning job and the detachable canister makes vacuuming stairs much easier. One notable feature of the Vax Air Stretch Pet Max is its large dust capacity. With a spacious dust bin, users can clean larger areas without the need for frequent emptying. Additionally, the vacuum cleaner has a rinseable filter, which helps maintain optimal performance and prolong the lifespan of the machine.

The Vax Air Stretch Pet Max is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre thanks to its long cord and hose, making it ideal for cleaning around the home. It also has a large dust bin, meaning it can easily accommodate large amounts of dust and debris without the need for frequent emptying. It’s also a lightweight upright vacuum. Upright vacs tend to be heavier than other types, but the Vax weighs just 5kg, making it more convenient to carry up and down stairs. That violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising); The Vax is a relatively simple vacuum cleaner. There aren’t advanced features, such as headlights or pivoting floorheads, but it’s a solid vacuum that’s designed to be straightforward and effective.
The Vax does a decent job of cleaning carpets, due to the strong suction and motorised brush bar. Don’t expect it to match upright vacuums costing twice as much, but it’s no slouch and the difference in performance isn’t as big as you would expect. As you would expect from a vacuum cleaner in this price range, there are a few downsides to the Vax Mach Air Revive though. While it’s a solid option for cleaning carpets and great for pet hair, it’s less effective on hard floors. We also would have liked a longer power cord, as the seven-metre cord feels restrictive.

The Vax U85-AS-Pme Air Stretch Max Pet is a popular budget upright vacuum cleaner. It’s a relatively powerful vacuum with a pet turbo tool, wide cleaning radius, and a simple design – along with a tempting price tag. Vax produces a range of vacuums in almost every category.
