It is an equally spot-on drugstore dupe for the hourglass ambient lighting powder palette and ElleSees put together a great comparison post with swatches of all the colors side by side to show just how crazy similar the two palettes are. May Contain (+/-): Red 7 Lake (Ci 15850), Red 40 Lake (Ci 16035), Carmine (Ci 75470), Ultramarines (Ci 77007), Bismuth Oxychloride (Ci 77163), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891) These are certainly worth the hype (although in terms of the luminosity and glow, I much prefer the Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes but they have much less wear time). These blushes were released by Hourglass to correspond with their Ambient Lighting Powders, meaning the blush shades are actually infused with the corresponding Ambient Lighting Powder shades. Although I must admit I gravitate towards the Clinique Pop Blushes more (because I’m a fan of the dewy skin look), this one deserves as much love because the overall quality and longevity is just remarkable. I lean more towards the Clinique blushes because they have more of a “glow” to it, but these blushes were not created to have as much shimmer particles as the Clinique anyway, so I can’t complain. I love using this with my NARS Yachiyo brush (obviously this is my favorite blush brush hehe) and very light-handedly swirl the colors in circular motions along the cheekbones. It gives a very diffused look.These two are also very similar although they swatch differently on my arm. Diffused Heat is just a tinge more vibrant.

The Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush is a stunning champagne rose shade mixed with Luminous Light for a natural and healthy flush to the cheeks. LIGHTEST to DARKEST: Ethereal Glow, Dim Infusion, Diffused Heat, Radiant Magenta, Luminous Flush, Mood Exposure COOLEST-TONED: Ethereal Glow (by a long shot!) is the only truly cool-toned shade. Mood Exposure may possibly look cooler-toned on fairer, naturally cooler-toned skin (I can’t get it to look very plum on me, but in the pan, it looks cooler-toned).Read on to find out and see the swatches of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes for yourselves! 🙂 <3 that is, or may reasonably be considered to be submitted in extreme volumes and as such be deemed as ‘spam’; These blushes lasted a bit longer than the Clinique Cheek Pop blushes, showing signs of fading only after the 8th hour mark, which is very remarkable! However, despite the hype, I’m a big believer that there are usually more affordable ways to achieve identical (or similar) looks. One of the greatest parts of my skin type is that I have an even tone. Being olive-skinned, I don't get any redness—a blessing at times since I don't have to focus on color correction or concealing sensitivity. However, I’m also a fan of that freshly flushed look, so I like to use coral cream blushes to brighten up my base.

They’re so easy to smooth out! I think my beef with the formula was I expected something glow-y from the formula and that isn’t exactly what you get. These are a seamless formula that much is true. Although the texture is fairly powdery for a baked formula they still have a very soft, finely milled texture that blends beautifully on cheeks. The texture of the blush is very soft, silky, and smooth. Color excels at looking very natural and pretty yet not really producing any of the natural, soft focused light you might experience by using the Ambient Lighting Powder alone.
