Thunderbolt 3 can be used for several types of data transfer works and also works with USB-C devices. Even USB-C Cables can be used as Thunderbolt 3 as long as you use good-quality cables. I'm not familiar enough with the improvements in USB 3.0 to know if a USB 3.0 to Firewire converter is feasible, but I'm not aware of any such converters (working or otherwise). You can easily connect your Firewire audio device, HDD and other peripherals to the latest iMac or 2023 additional Macbook Pro with the help of certain adapters.
