The OBDeleven does have it’s advantages in terms of ease of use, price point and flexibility for those comfortable with smart devices and Apps. And while it can do many of the things a more expensive VCDS can do, there are limits (and additional costs) even with the Pro version. For anyone trying to decide between a VCDS and OBDeleven device, it will depend on what you need to do, what you’re willing to pay and how comfortable you are with the user interface. You need an android device running 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or later. It must have bluetooth and it will only work with OBD Eleven when a strong internet connection is available (WIFI or 3/4G).
