About this deal

Overall, James comes with storage which is much needed by all. It doesn’t hold the full 9 litres that other models do, and it doesn’t have any special motors or filters added in. Arguably, you are paying extra for storage which you might not need if the vacuum itself didn’t come with so many attachments. When you weigh this as an option be sure to consider the high energy efficiency and neatness of design that makes it so great. The Henry vacuum is certainly a classic but its performance was average. Like many Numatic vacuums, Henry weighs much more than the market average for cylinder vacuums and can be difficult to manoeuvre. The good It comes with that large 9L capacity dustbin, fantastic reach, and has multiple attachments included.

He offers two useful features. The first is a dual purpose hairo-brush which is fantastic for scrubbing off stubborn pet hairs and other stains, the second is a carbon filter designed to combat unpleasant smells. The MicroFresh filter activated charcoal filter will minimise the bad smells your pets can create. If you have pets, either the Harry HHR200 or Henry Xtra HVX200 are great choices. Both include a turbo tool for getting rid of pet hair in carpets and upholstery. Pull out the two clips on both sides that hold the top of the machine to the drum, then, using the handle lift off the machine top (POWER HEAD). Lift out the main white filter and remove the dust bag from the tube inside the drum. The genuine Numatic dust bag has a sealing tab, which allows you to keep the dust in the bag once full. Push the tab into the hole and dispose of the full bag. There are a variety of considerations to be made before you make your final choice from the Henry vacuum range. Things like colour, shape, and whether or not it can handle cleaning up after your dog are important! Energy-Efficient Performance: The Henry Reach is built with energy efficiency in mind, minimizing power consumption without compromising on cleaning prowess, saving you both time and energy.

Overall, the Hetty matches the Henry step-for-step and blow-for-blow. It all comes down to taste, we suppose. Hetty is much more fabulous than Henry is but has all the same features. Do with this information as you will. The cherry on top is that it is an energy class A. Plus the Airobrush and the extra attachment for hard floors.

Confused by the friendly-looking vacuum range? Here’s how to tell one family member from another

Overall the Xtra is inexpensive, comes with a high energy rating, the same 26.4 reach of the James, and caters to pet owners. It’s lightweight, quiet, and does everything the Henry forgot to do – but doesn’t include the wet/dry feature that some of the other models do. As usual, the Micro Henry comes with all the longevity and durability you would expect from this exemplary range. It looks almost the same as the basic model but has the ‘Micro’ scrawled on top. It also weighs only 7.5 kgs, just like the original, making it easy to get around your home. As an added bonus this is a small, compact machine that makes it ideal for smaller apartments. Suction is reflected in two ways with the Henry vacuum cleaner range. It is either a result of the maximum energy outage that the model in question has, or it is marked as a class rating. For example, the class rating of the Harry pet hair removing Henry is a Class C. If you want maximum suction, you have to go for bigger numbers. So where the Harry is a 620 w, the basic Henry has the option to go up to 1200 w. This will have more suction power.

Each of the Henry models are detailed below so you can choose which Henry vacuum cleaner suits your needs the best. Henry Himself – The Basics The Henry vacuum cleaner range covers a number of price points. The more expensive models, like the George, do more things than the models that don’t cost as much. Adversely, the cheapest Henry Vacuum is likely to be the original version. You would think that you paid less for less dustbin capacity (like what you get with the James, where you sacrifice dustbin space for storage) but this isn’t the case. What is a Class Rating? George is the model for you if you are looking for an all-in-one device that will clean everything from the cobwebs to the curtains. He has a 15l capacity for dry dirt and mess, and a 9l capacity for wet. He uses a Twin-flo motor for double power and slightly less energy efficiency, but he trades up with a Powerflo pump guaranteed to add suction to any mess. A unique aero-brush is great if you have pets in the house. It provides an outstanding level of cleaning with carpets and is the perfect tool for cleaning up pet hairs, as well as those bits of pet food that don’t quite stay in the bowl and other edibles such as cat grass. A hard floor brush means it can continue cleaning on hard floor surfaces while a 10m power cable provides extensive reach.

Other Machines from Numatic

litres dry dust bin capacity, which is a huge amount of space. Wet, the Charles holds 9 litres. An easy-to-operate switch goes between the two. You can buy two types of filters - aftermarket and genuine. We highly recommend the genuine filters as sometimes aftermarket filters can be of quite poor quality. Best Vacuum Cleaner for pet hair – the Harry vacuum has been designed with pet owners in mind. It collects fine pet hair and even contains a charcoal filter to treat pet odours. However, the Henry Xtra also performs well against animal fur. Charles has a switch with the wet or dry modes on the front which makes it easier to use and comes with a much smaller price tag than the George. He is bright blue and completely watertight, so you won’t make him explode if you accidentally vacuum up a spilled drink. With the Charles, you could even clean up that spilled drink on purpose and come away with a pristine machine. To access and change the dustbag, there are simply two clips to undo and then the top of Henry lifts off. There’s a big round filter that sits on top of the dust bag, this also simply lifts out. The dust bag pulls away from the pipe and it has a flap that can be closed to stop dust and dirt escaping on the way to the bin. It’s so much cleaner than emptying a bagless vacuum.
