About this deal

When you say "buying another", are you referring to another ELITE CAPELLIX or buying the iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT detailed in this topic? Summarized: I put the Commander Core XT and the Commander Node Core on my 2 internal Mainboard USB 2.0 Ports. Then I put my AIO USB-Plug on the USB-Port on the Commander Core XT. Lastly I connected the PWM-Plugs of 3 of my 5 QL Fans, which are connected to the Core XT, to an external PWM Splitter (which handles a total of 6 QL-PWMs.) 2 QL-PWM-Plugs are connected to my AIO and the last 2 QL-PWM-Plugs are directly connected to the Mainboard. We've got a new controller that centralizes command over your case fans and RGB lighting! We're happy to introduce to you the COMMANDER CORE XT. Here are a few highlights:

Don't buy anything and connect the rear fan to a mobo's header. This won't allow you to control the rear fan through iCue. This is also my first time building a PC, so forgive my ignorance. I've always bought pre-built gaming systems in the past, but thought I would finally give it a shot myself. Turns out, it can get pretty confusing lol.Controls up to six PWM RGB fans, allowing you to set custom fan curves and lighting profiles that adjust based on system temperatures - including Zero RPM mode to keep the noise down at low loads. A: You do not. Similar to the Commander PRO, the COMMANDER CORE XT plugs into an available SATA power cable from your PSU and USB header on your motherboard. I'm having the same issue trying to get a h170i Elite LCD (with its associated Commander XT) to work with a second Commander Core XT and a Commander Pro. All are updated. The most I can get to work using different plug-in scenarios including using an NZXT hub is two of the three devices working together. Every so often after a reboot I'll get all three to show up but iCue won't show the screen settings for the H170i display. Windows sees the devices but will say there is a "Driver Error" for the Core XT. If I take the h170 out of the mix the Commander Pro and the Commander Core XT work fine together.

Buy a couple of selfpowered fan hubs (like the one you linked) and group each radiator's fan so they act the same. This will take up 3 CoPro's ports. Now I know the Capellix comes with the "Commander Core", but I believe that's only enough to run the radiator fans, and 3 more fans for a total of 6. So that leaves 3 fans unaccounted for. The 6 that I'm installing on the bottom and side are going to be the Corsair QL series fans. So do I need to get one of the bundles with the Commander Pro? I'm not sure if the Core and the Pro can be daisy changed together or not though? This is pretty odd. How do you have the CoCoreXT connected? And the CoCore? The ComCoreXT has a splitter on the USB Connector - is the Commander Core connected to that? Zotty ok so I have the Corsair 5000D Airflow, the H150i Capellix 360 AIO, and 10 extra ML 120 fans (total 13 fans) 3 RGB front and 3 RGB side, original 3 RGB AIO set to push inside the top mounted Rad set to exhaust, 3 non RGB in pull on top of the rad and 1 non RGB as rear exhaust. The 6 on the Rad are all connected to the Com Core as well as the rear fan via an PWM splitter.Configure the lighting effects of the 3-pin device connected to the RGB port by selecting 3-Pin Lighting Effects. You can also run the setup wizard if you need help with setup. Once your cooler is installed to your motherboard, it is time to connect the fans and pump to the iCUE Commander CORE. As for having both in a system, I've done it and it works. On an AMD system (B450). With 2 CoCores and 1 CoCoreXT at one point, in fact. What version of iCUE are you running? Hi, I'm doing a build on a 5000D airflow. I bought a H150i Elite so I this for 6 of the fans. If I want to do 10 fans would you recommend buying another and going 6 fans on 1 and 4 on the other?

With the above wiring guide, you can see how to connect an H150i ELITE LCD XT AIO with 4x QL120 RGB fans. The diagram was designed around this example, but the principles can easily be used for other configurations, too. Here's a breakdown of what's going on.

SOLUTION: I figured "Hey, maybe the Core XT cant handle the PWM, since its disconnecting under workload". So I put every PWM-Connector, except for 2, on a PWM-Splitter... And it worked. No more disconnects since then.
