Make your own Bingo

Use this resource in the classroom as a fun, whole-class game to practise reading sight words. How to Use This Resource in the Classroom: If you are creating your own bingo cards, consider using the first 25 sight words located below in the progressive sight word post. Once your child has mastered these words, proceed to the next list. If your child knows some sight words, identify which ones he cannot automatically recognize and create bingo cards with those words. Using the progressive sight word post below, print out the sight word lists and review the words with your child. If your child is an emergent reader and you want to limit the number of words to nine. Then, choose someone to be the caller. They will place all of the cut up calling cards into a bowl and take them out one by one. Next, pass out a board and tokens to each of your players. We start a new round by having each child pass their card to their left, so that each child has a new card and is given the opportunity to read new words.
