Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Recorded in Copenhagen and London in mid-2004 with producer Paul Epworth, it was released in February 2005 on Wichita Recordings.

EX (Excellent): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. There's no self-glorification and no hard-sell behind London's brightest young things, no pomp and no pretence. Their debut Silent Alarm showcased their tight, energetic sound which married propulsive indie-rock to danceable rhythms.
