About this deal

I used my coconut rice milk to cook it, then folded in some of my Alpro Coconut Yogurt as well once it had cooled down.

Desserts or snacks such as cookies and brownies are also often based around wheat flour, which naturally contains gluten. Delicious Alchemy sent me their porridge alternative to try, just rice flakes, no oats in this porridge ! All you have to do to make a delicious bowl of porridge, is to add 50g of the flakes to a bowl, with 200ml of milk and heat for 3 minutes in the microwave or on the hob. You will need: 250ml water or 200ml of milk/milk free alternative To microwave: In a microwave bowl, stir the water or milk/milk free alternative into 45g of rice flakes in a microwavable bowl. I don’t have an intolerance to gluten but if I eat a lot of wheat (and/or dairy) I get hives all over my hands.

I had a go at baking the oaty cookies and the chocolate brownies and they were honestly delicious – to make them, all I had to do was pop the mix into a bowl and add some butter +/- eggs or water, mix and bake and they were done! You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. Leave to stand for 1-2 minutes before serving, to achieve a thick, creamy texture To cook on the hob: Simmer in a saucepan with water or milk/milk free alternative for 3-5 minutes. The delicious Rice Flake Porridge is perfect for people who can't tolerate gluten-free oats, or for those who simply enjoy a bit of variety in the mornings. When I’ve tried them before I’ve done a half and half mix of oats and rice flakes to get that oat flavour, else it’s like eating rice!

All-American Gluten Free Rice Porridge - Americans know how to do puddings, cooking rice flakes with milk and stirring in dried cranberries and adding a large dollop of smooth peanut butter.Or a little mixed spice and raisins is another variation I like to eat, especially on a really cold night. I have to say I was not sure about this idea, but on the other hand I do miss a bowl of porridge in the winter. After being diagnosed as coeliac she found it hard to discover natural, healthy and gluten free food. Gluten Free Christmas Porridge Twist - Add 200ml semi-skimmed milk to 50g rice flakes and simmer on a hob for 3-5 minutes.
