About this deal

The royal physician, Lee Seung-hui kept a journal documenting these changes and the events at the royal palace, which could be used as evidence. The soldiers in Sangju prepare for the zombie attacks on their fortifications, but night passes without incident. Lord Hak-ju brings Seo-bi to examine the Queen Regent Cho, confirming that Mu-yeong's infant son is not her child, but the Queen has Hak-ju poisoned to death before he can expose the plot. A plague tale, a political thriller, and an action-packed zombie survival story, Kingdom has become a must-watch for horror fans. Kim Kang-hoon as King Yi Yeom (season 2), Mu-yeong's son who was rescued from a horde of zombies as a baby by Seo-bi.

The series is praised by critics for its blend of the political thriller, historical drama and horror genres. Hinduism (and other, sister religions like Buddhism and Jainism) has an interesting concept: samsara, which is a term used to describe the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth that the human soul undergoes.

Jo Han-chul as Won Yu (season 2), descendant of an exiled member of the royal family living a quiet life on remote island, who is sought out by Lee Chang. Kim Hye-jun as Queen Consort Cho (seasons 1–2), the young and pregnant Queen of Joseon, and the King's wife. In Hanyang, Lord Hak-ju conducts experiments to learn the mechanism of the disease by feeding the flesh of the infected to healthy prisoners.

Hak-ju also gathers a number of pregnant women and widows within the palace, including Mu-yeong's wife. It's not a bad read, but instead of providing a rich, plot-heavy backbone for the Netflix series, the South Korean graphic novel is actually quite hollow in comparison -- lacking in substance and over in only an hour or two (depending on how quickly you flip through it).Huh Joon-ho as Lord Ahn Hyeon (regular season 1; recurring season 2), a former governor considered a war hero for his part in the Imjin War. And you really get a sense of the state of Joseon through all the little touches, from ghoulish statues to even the smallest facial movements. While the prince of the series is an adult, Yi Moon is a child, which made my entrance into the world of this manhwa slightly jarring. Events lead to just two convicts, one from Korea and one from Japan, being the only living convicts on the island.
