About this deal

In comparison most pages in this are not endearing -mummy wipes a grubby nose, helps them "do a wee" and tells the little kid to not "scream and shout" when they go out. She gives lots of kisses, she bakes yummy cakes and she reads her an extra book at bedtime - what's not to love?

We also have daddy is my hero, where dad is painted as this magical person who can do the impossible . It’s a first person toddler narrator, and the sentence structure and word choice don’t fit the voice. After studying fine arts in Valencia, she went on to complete a teaching masters degree, before living in London whilst working as a graphic designer for advertising agencies. As a child he spent countless hours drawing, but at secondary school there were no art classes, so he filled his homework with doodles and portraits of his teachers.

He has won the Federation of Children's Book Award and the Book Trust Early Years Award, but he is probably most famous as the creator of the phenomenally successful Purple Ronnie, Britain's favourite stickman. As such, we use the tried and trusted couriers, Royal Mail and DPD, for all our deliveries within the UK. Being told from the perspective of the baby (or toddler), children will be able to relate to the events in the story or even point out things that they do with their mommy too. Shortlisted for the Booktrust Early Years Awards 2006, Braun's simple and sensitive picturebook will reassure even the youngest readers. Simple, moving words and beautiful illustrations by Sebastien Braun capture the spirit of motherhood in a celebration for every mother and child. The colours aren't very engaging, so we got bored of the pictures pretty quickly, but the story rhymes, which we like. The beautiful bright illustrations and fun rhymes were a huge hit with my boys, and the celebratory topic of the bond between mum and baby really struck a chord. Giles Andreae is the author of several children's books, including the best-selling Giraffes Can't Dance, illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees. Nice book about reasons children love their mums, although the same could be applied for any family member if a child has an absent parent.

The language by Isabel Otter is appropriately uncomplicated and Alicia Mas’ pictures are colourful making them useful to point to and introduce new vocabulary. This book is written from the point of view of a small child who talks about all the many reasons why he loves his mommy.Wonderfully child-like verses about everything that makes mothers irresistible to their little ones are illustrated with bright and bold pictures in this life-affirming book. It is a great book to keep in mind for Mother’s Day, or a gift for anytime really as most Mums will love reading this beautiful book with their child.
