About this deal

Where the sweetness in Tentations is that of peaches preserved in alcohol, the sweetness here is more of a peach and rose jam. While I smell all of these great elements in their turn, this perfume does not feel as potent as many of the perfumes I have listed; I would not be afraid to wear a spritz of this to an office as long as the weather wasn't too overbearingly warm.

Though I am generally not a fan of designer scents, however the ET ones stand out as one of the better. The scent opens with top notes of Lilac, Peach and Rose, middle notes are Jasmine, Orchid and Spices.ceaidetei -- I think I must be as sensitive to the chemicals in this as you are insensitive: I just sprayed a tiny bit on my wrist, and it just won't be through lobbing whiffs at me! Diamonds and Rubies and Hermès Rouge share a certain uniqueness in that not many fragrances smell like this. They dressed for themselves because they were comfortable in themselves, and that's what this perfume is about. There is even a play-doh nuance, doll head characteristic abaut it but less pronounced and round then that in Dior Hipnotic Poison and the likes. Another Christmas type blend - only this one resonates more with the vibe of an Ice Princess, like the character in the Disney movies "Frozen".

The florals lend the fragrance a bit of soapiness and softness that I feel keeps this from being a strict oriental. The soap is truly like a cheap soap, there's no fruitiness, no peach no almond in there, no sourness like some said. It was a gold box with a sparkling diamonds design on the outside and it was ingrained in my memory. Finally found the perfect solution: Yves Saint Laurent’s 2011 Yvresse, a fragrance which was also originally created by Grosjman. If actual rubies had a scent, this definitely would be it, captured to perfection; if someone who was blind and had never seen the gorgeous precious ruby stone, they would "see" it in their mind by smelling this! Diamonds and Rubies is a little bit fuzzier than Hermès Rouge, but that seems to be a Sophia Grojsman watermark. It dries down quite powdery on me, which I love, although the baby powder and slightly vanilla final notes are a bit at odds with the opening salvo!

I'm surprised how delitious slightly sour sweet peach with little bit of cinnamon developed on my skin after maybe 20 or 30 minutes. People still rave about it here, and I foolishly blind bought some of that based on reviews here too-nope. This is super feminine and sweet, with a sophisticated auntie Mame being the life of the party kind of vibe. Those then blend w/ that lush peach, spices, powdery heliotrope, other florals and that sweet vanilla to create soft, dark red velvet magic! Passion smelled to me like flowers covered in stale cigarettes 🤢 The first sprays of this were so screechy!

The spices and powder are also noticeable even before the drydown giving the impression of a very grand lady at her dressing table powdering her nose.
