The way she chose to forgive those around her, and gave them second chances, even when they probably didn’t deserve it, was admirable in itself.

So it's suffice to say, both the plot and smut, and chemistry and characters were perfectly written!And when he learns this fact after he married the heroine, he tells us he feels disguted that she was killed in that condition, but that's it. Because I'm in love with Greek Mythology and Hades and Persephone being my most favorite couple, I loved it so freaking much whenever Zeno went like "My very own Persephone, My Wife, My Darla" I loved it so much! The city of Montardor is Zeno’s personal chessboard and he will stop at nothing to make me his queen. At the start i had genuinely thought i’d got the plot all figured out and then the reveal came and i was genuinely shocked because i was not expecting it to be what it was and when all the information got revealed and everything was out in the open, all those small jigsaw pieces starting to slowly join together and the end result was amazing because as the reader i was expecting it to go in a different direction but this plot twist was everything and it definitely had me sitting there in shock and confusion for a good minute whilst i processed it. He allows her to be completely, honestly, her without fear of being disappointing and makes a home for himself in her kind, spring-floral heart.

cringe, I mean I'm not a massive fan of the master/pet kink (not trying to kinkshame here -- just a personal preference) so found that aspect to be very weird. Here's my problem: there is OW drama from a woman that used to regularly sleep with him, but that meant nothing to the H.With a deep voice and penetrating gaze, his mere presence tingled my nerves and twisted my insides much like the city’s legendary stories of spirits and ghosts. But mainly because this was Zeno’s way of showing Darla that he cared about her, in his own way without using words.
