We were very kindly gifted the special ‘Object of design’ edition by Jason Woodside Maclaren Atom stroller to review by the amazing guys at Pramworld and here’s what I thought. Buckling in a wiggly child is very difficult, you have to perfectly align both strap buckles to fit in the opening.

Parents too can enjoy the atom style with its high-performance features from lightweight aircraft aluminum frame, super compact fold, fully reclining seats, expandable hood, and front wheel suspension, plus compatibility with popular infant car seat brands and the Maclaren Carrycot. The Atom may not quite "take any traveller to the far corners of the galaxy and back" but it will take you to most places that your normal family adventures in town will. Compared to the Yoyo, the Atom is cheaper, it comes with a wide range of essential accessories included, and can be reclined fully without any additional kit. The atom style set includes a premium wind-resistant Rain cover, Shoulder Pads, Jockey Strap, embroidered Seat Liner, and Storage Bag.

The style set comprises the stroller along with a reversible seat liner, carry strap, harness padding, carry bag (to carry the stroller on your shoulder as well as to protect the stroller while transporting it), handlebar cover, and rain cover.

Taken into account, this is not a stroller suitable for winter, more the opposite - an open, well-ventilated stroller. The wrist strap is more or less for decoration in my opinion - the stroller should be in your hands anyway, and it doesn't tend to run away from you, so there was not a real need for me to use this strap. Not to mention that the accessories like the Maclaren cupholder for example are not compatible with this stroller.The legs of your child won't be covered completely - you would need a much deeper hood, which is structurally impossible to do with an ultra-compact buggy - otherwise, it would definitely compromise the fold. How light it is meant it was super easy for getting up hills meaning we hardly had to break a sweat! Thanks to its minimalist dimensions, the Atom is a great companion for travels and trips and can be taken on the board of the aircraft as cabin luggage. I want to put your attention to the footrest - a lower platform, where the older children can put their feet. The whole hood is intended to be used (mainly) in summer on holidays - that is why it comes with UV50+ protection, which will shield your child's head, back, and face against the strong sun.
