I'll know that my thoughts are really mean and problematic, but I just can't turn that inner voice off, telling me that obesity is the obese person's fault. There isn’t a good reason for me to be shocked by the fact that butter has a book dedicated to it, given that I have multiple books dedicated to tea and that is also a food product, but I was surprised and very intrigued. The scene where Butter earns his nickname is one of the most shocking scenes of the book, but also a very important one for many reasons, and I love the fact that we don't discover his real name until the very end. It's not that I haven't eaten butter in all that time, but as a rule it's not something that features (or. There are so many ways this book could have preached about obesity or about bullying, but it doesn't - it just tells a story. With tales about the ancient butter bogs of Ireland, the pleasure dairies of France, and the sacred butter sculptures of Tibet, Khosrova details butter’s role in history, politics, economics, nutrition, and even spirituality and art. Isolated and bullied at school, with a dysfunctional family life and weighing over 400 lbs, 'Butter' as he is nicknamed by his high school classmates, feels he has little left to live for. They definitely mistreat him, but at the same time, they're sort of necessary for Butter's development in a way he doesn't always understand.

Butter- I can’t remember if his actual name is mentioned or not- has to deal with a family that seems pretty dysfunctional, and classmates that don’t think he’s really going to go through with it, until they realize he is. It includes two novella-length works and short stories that are diverse in every meaningful way possible. All new for 2021, James’ new book, Butter, is the essential book for anyone who loves to cook with this glorious, versatile ingredient.
