Directions contains no peroxide, and is therefore best suited to use on light blonde or pre-lightened hair. This hair dye formulation has conditioning qualities that keeps hair feeling nourished, luscious, and looking its best.

I adored my hair colour, it was so vibrant and shiny and Directions is a conditioning treatment so my hair felt softer than ever.With no ammonia, peroxide or PPD and a ‘no animal testing’ policy, Directions is not only the best fashion shade of choice, it’s also the safer way to colour.

We applied the dye straight onto my natural hair colour as my hair was already pretty light and my mom wanted me to avoid bleaching it at all costs. So for best results we always recommend doing both a strand test (to make sure you're going to like the finished colour) and a sensitivity test (to make sure you're not allergic to the ingredients) before using any of the hair colour/bleaching products.I didn't even bother bleaching or lightening my hair, which was a faded red colour at the time, and it went blindingly bright. However Christmas arrived and i was going on holiday to see my dad who is currently living in South Africa and already knowing the dangers of sea water on La Riche Directions dyes, and knowing how much quicker dyes fade in the sun; i decided not to risk it and began fading out my hair dye. Then at the end of the Christmas holiday i had my hair cut and cut off just a few inches to remove the last remaining colour from the ends of my hair before school restarted. It is not possible for us to draw any conclusions about you, and any data collected as a result will never be passed on to third parties.

If i had of known that i would end up with a green stain all over my hair that i have not been able to get rid of i would have done things much differently!

I was topping my colour up every 10 days or so to keep it vibrant and even mixing my conditioner with it whenever i showered didn’t massively hold off the fading. If your hair is in good enough shape, try doing a color remover to bring you back to your blonde/turquoise and if you could post a photo that would be great.

That’s why all our colours contain a conditioning formula that nourishes hair from first application. Since i was a little kid my favorite colour had always been purple so when Christmas arrived 2013 my mom drove me town, and we purchased two pots of La Riche Directions Plum and headed to my hair dressers who had agreed to help me dip dye the ends of my hair with this “wash out” dye. Gloves are just as necessary to keep your hands clean, and we have now started selling development caps too.

As before, the colour was applied straight on top of my natural blonde and it came out a beautiful Cadbury’s purple again. Since Directions changes the formula and it seems to be totally blue based now, it stained my hair green.
