About this deal

If after checking those three out, you’re still looking for some more inspiration then something like Berghaus Men’s Expanse Mid GORE-TEX® Walking Boots reviews could be a great choice, or perhaps something like Cotswold Kids’ Littledean Waterproof Walking Boots reviews.

I knew I wanted to get a leather boot as these are on the whole more durable and tend to be easier to clean (though only if they are not made of a load of different panels! We ended up going through the Dartford Tunnel to Lakeside and the Go Outdoors there (at the time this was the nearest one, there is now one in Canterbury) and set about boring her half to death while I debated between 3 pairs of boots I quite liked. I briefly reviewed them at the following link, but since then I have used them considerably on varying terrain and for long, short and middle distances and would thoroughly recommend them. The initial press information on the boots suggested that they were slightly more flexible than would be produced for a continental market, but they’re still more than man enough to cater for those who prefer a bit of underfoot stiffness on rough terrain, with a fairly traditional feel to them rather than being a scaled up trainer, if that makes sense. The Mammut Brecon III GTX is a fully waterproof half-height walker's boot with a braced insole, made from full-grained, durable smooth leather. This is of course really helpful, but there’s almost too much information available, so it’s important to know exactly what you’re looking for. We’re really pleased to have scored Mammut Women’s Brecon III GTX® Walking Boot so highly, givimg it 9. If you look carefully you can find some really reputable sources for professional reviews, much like this top 8 tent review from Independent.

You can always give them a spray over with water proof spray this is added little bonus and helps to keep the boot water repellant from the outside. However, if you’re still on the fence and want to look at some more options, here are some great alternatives to consider. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. We recommend tying the two ends of the laces together to form a single loop, as they can sometimes snake and get lost into the sides of washing machines. The Mammut Brecon III GTX® is a fully waterproof half-height walker's boot with a braced insole, made from full-grained, durable smooth leather. waxed sueded leather and there’s both a rubber toe protector and a bit of reinforcement at the heel too. If you have a bit of time and want to find out more about Mammut Women’s Brecon III GTX® Walking Boot after reading the reviews then YouTube is your next stop. In fact they probably fit in the final segment we mentioned above whereby they deliver a fantastic overall package. Gortex lined so waterproof anyway but I gave them a spray of water repellant and this adds to the protection.

Designed for easy backpacking or the occasional alpine trek, they are supportive and comfortable enough for all-day wear, with integrated Mammut® Motion-Control which gives great flexibility and strong lateral support. From woodland paths to the heights of jaw-dropping peaks, the Men’s Brecon III GTX® Walking Boot is an ideal piece of kit. After eventually deciding on the Mammuts over the incredibly comfortable Scarpa Terras, I set about not even using them for a while and instead still took my old Karrimors on my Toubkal trip in 2013.A classic leather hiking book, the Mammut Men’s Brecon III GTX® Walking Boot has all the protection of a sturdy boot with a lighter weight. Something I find an absolute pain in the backside as my left foot is slightly larger and wider than the right. Designed for easy backpacking or the occasional alpine trek, they are supportive and comfortable enough for all-day wear, with integrated Mammut Motion-Control which gives great flexibility and strong lateral support. On the whole I really do like these, they’ve kept my feet dry and supported when it mattered, and I foresee using them as my main boots for a good few more years yet hopefully! We recommend every so often clapping the shoes together so that any caked-on debris that may be hidden also is dislodged - think how soccer players clean their boots after a game.

I have their Tethera model, full leather, plus short rand and is pretty darn sturdy, though is not B-rated. The boots look like they have been used on sharp rocks and have scuffs/cuts to the toe area and the soles are roughed up. Weight for our test 43s – size 9 – is around 1570 grammes, so not ‘lightweight’, but equally not massively heavy for a mountain-walking, three-season boot either. UK-friendly, all-round winter mountain shell with proper helmet-friendly hood, highly breathable eVent fabric with reinforced abrasion zones, more pockets than a family of bush kangaroos. Also present and correct is the ubiquitous Gore-Tex waterproof liner and, underfoot, a reassuring Vibram MT Traction outsole. I wore them on short hikes and a couple of overnighters, enough to make sure they were broken in and to test the GoreTex waterproofing, but otherwise kept them at home. I have noticed that because of the lugs and the spacing, the tread does get a bit clogged up with mud and stones so this needs to be scraped out maybe more than usual, but this is a minor inconvenience really.
