I honestly never listened to My Bloody Valentine much before but this album is a terrific lush sounding indie record from the Irish dream pop group. Only Shallow' is the highlight for me, but there are many good tracks to pick from here, 'When You Sleep' is another standout and one of the few other tracks that has any sort of 'conventional' song structure and even here I use the term loosely.

The only difference between the newer and older versions is, because this is a cassette from 1991, the original source was from the 1991 1630 DAT Master since the fadeout during soon cuts off, but I honestly prefer the sound from the cassette compared to the other two versions I mentioned earlier. While the label machinations, financial woes, and technical problems have to be dispiriting, he does not in any way seem to resent having to spend time with the actual music. From there, Shields had to find a disc-cutting apparatus that didn’t have a digital process, a rarity in the current landscape. Also a tiny tiny tiny bit warped but doesn't affect anything (pitch bending is literally one of the ingredients that made the album sound how it sounds so i don't think a badly warped copy would really affect it?We couldn’t use an edit block, which is this metal thing with various angles on it, because the edit block positions weren’t anywhere near what we needed to achieve.
