And while the main focus of this book is how to overcome the obstacle of pursuing their careers and maintaining their family life, there is another plot that will likely be played out over the course of the next book (and more? A curse as some of the uncertainty in their relationship disappeared, leaving out some of the hottest and angsty moments of the former books.It was no hardship spending more time with my favourite Professor and number one book-boyfriend, watching as he and Julia tackle parenthood which definitely put a new perspective on their relationship and their careers. But the message of the story was clear, Gabriel will always put his family first and do anything and everything to protect them and make them happy.

Add to this what I believe is an open ending as one of the book’s mystery is still unsolved and you have the reasons why I did not give this book a 5 stars. In my writing, I combine all of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of goodness.
