Prehaps if they dont want dogs or people in a place they clearly feel belongs to them then a few signs wouldn't go a miss, I was bitterly disappointed, this is probably why its shut ,with an attitude like they have its most probably empty a high percentage of the time. I'm originally from Canterbury and would say location is perfect if you want bang in the centre of town.This small museum is dedicated to Freemasonry and its history, with a focus on objects from the area.

The building is very old so there are a lot of steps and uneven floors - not suitable for those with mobility problems but we found it charming.I finished by scooping up all the crumbles with the jam spoon :P And the gigantic size is phenomenal. Great atmosphere and decor, staff friendly and helpful, food excellent, wonderful place to just meet up for a drink or have a meal.
