I can't speak to the SRAM piece of the equation, but I can't imagine it's *that* different from Shimano. This allows you to use your normal sti/ergo levers on a disc brake bike without the expense of upgrading everything to accommodate a full hydraulic set up. Uncompromising performance, ease-of-use, and great looks to boot - the Juin Tech GT-F brakes tick all the boxes. Is it time I get Juin Tech GT-F or am I digging a bigger hole in my wallet and should go full hydro? Main reason I’m looking is because I still like my cross-top levers, so until hope launch their hydro ones there aren’t many options.

The R1 act exactly like the normal hydraulic brakes, ie with double pistons, but the command is given by the cable.

This system is ideal for those who want to use these brakes with standard or flush or non-hydraulic road or cyclocross controls. These things made my cable actuated disc brakes, on my new gravel bike, bell “exactly” like the thoroughbred hydraulic brakes on my hybrid bike.
