The Canon A1400 with it's terrible grade of 33 for a landscape camera is just not good compared to its rivals. The camera is very small, very lightweight and takes quick and easy daylight and even dawn or dusk photos. I bought this camera for use at the EAA AirVenture air show, it took very good pictures of very fast moving jets at full zoom.
The body doesn't include a microphone and / or headphone socket so you have absolutely no control over the audio. It's got a lot of features that other cameras do not have, such as an "Optical Viewfinder" which is in addition to the "screen".
