To date, we have upcycled over 350,000 coffee cups and transformed them into our luxurious, sustainable pulp boxes. I love woody scents, sandalwood and coconut combos are probably my favorite fragrance genre, but that isn't what Arizona is.

Proenza Schouler is my favorite designer brand and I was thrilled to see them come out with a perfume.Maybe it's the cactus flower--I've never smelled that before so perhaps that is the scent that is throwing me off. I wanted this to be a somewhat unique sunny scent, the notes sounded exciting, but the scent is neither unique, nor an especially great version of what has been done before.

Then you see these pictures—we saw some actually—of these beautiful, big white blossoms on these dry cactuses. Arizona doesn't necessarily evoke the desert for me — it seems too smooth and cozy for that dramatic terrain. Designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the duo behind Proenza Schouler, have said that Arizona was inspired by a trip to the deserts of the American Southwest and some much-needed time away from Wi-Fi. it definitely is a sweet fragrance but i actually don’t find it TOO sweet, but then again i have a lot of fragrances that are just straight sugar vibes. It’s this sweet tangy note , that after a while Can be too much , it’s not bad , it’s nice , I feel it’s great for sunny days .If Pure Turquoise is the crisp linen business suit of summer fragrances, then Arizona is the sundress and sandals or tee shirt and shorts. We explained that with the cellophane seal this was not possible, to which you became aggressive, intimidating and demanded a refund. It is sweet, but not gourmand, I feel like it smells like some sort of cleaning product (harsh, I know and no offence to anyone who loves this).

Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer. First 2 hrs it's like I opened the long closed pantry and all that stuff inside the spices, pulses, flours, sugars etc gone stale. Would I pick up on any of that lipstick smell this time around, or would I again experience that nauseating chemical smell?

Once it dries down that's when you get the citrus and strawberry and cactus flower, which works surprisingly well with the powder compact smell. Its subtle sprinkles of Balinese coconut blends with the Madagascan Black Pepper spices and the second skin feeling of Salted Musks. The designers worked hard to make sure you could smell the sun in each mist; it's the bottled essence of daytime in the desert. A co-worker noticed it at 3 pm, complimented it, and identified it something different than my usual office scent. i like that this scent does have that lipstick-ey vibe without being to heavy, like a fresh pressed powder compact mixed with red berries, citrus and musk.

The "mineral" notes that were mentioned in some press about this fragrance are subtle; there's a "hint of the metallic buzz that frequently accompanies iris," as Robin once described it. It's youthful, but also graceful and mature - like someone who has seen the world, but hasn't lost the vibrance and wide-eyed wonder of a child.I agree with the people saying that it’s like something rancid or something cheap, which they are not wrong at all!
