This aquatic, aromatic fragrance opens with a splash of fresh calabrian bergamot, neroli and green tangerine. Granted, 10 minutes later that smell dissipates but the distinct scent of my drunken college days remained and kept me from being able to enjoy what I know is a great scent. Reminiscent of Sauvage Elixir in a way (butuch easier to handle), with a more complex earthy sweetness than expected from an ADG.In the opening you will notice a heavy blast of aquatic -- almost salt-water -- scent, with a hint of spice. Personally, when viewed on its own and not tainted by the thought of the original ADG Profumo, I think it's great. The DNA is old and many men wears Aqua di Gio for a reason: It's nice, inoffensive and women do like fresh and citric fragrances.

I wouldn’t recommend someone in their teens to wear this because it comes off more formal, but if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s perfect for that. The only difference I can feel is that this Special Blend is slightly more vivid ans alive than the previous Profumo. The new powerful fragrance is distinguished by its incense notes, which bring an incandescent intensity to the emblematic marine notes of Acqua di Giò. So, this many dislikes is like you dislike the original which is selling like crazy and it's on most ppls top 10 lists. I just got my hands on Acqua di Gio Profuomo Special Blend today, and I got a chance to test in on the other hand, and the original Acqua di Gio Profuomo on the other.
