About this deal

Edit: This stuff is positively nuclear, what it lacks compared to Chanel’s quality, it more than makes up for in potency, drydown is pretty abrasive though, even after maturing for a month. Very close to BDC not as smooth though but it is very strong and really projects and is long lasting especially in clothes will last a week and project strong. And the people moaning about performance something is definitely wrong cos it lasts 10 hours on my moistorized skin. This has the BDC DNA but is probably 83% close to BDC EDP, this is not as close of a dupe as some reviewers on youtube and Fragrantica make it out to be. People have different ideas and different experienced but believed me guys those people who hit the icon love/hate above are those silent but credible voters who really experienced the bad and good side of the fragrance.

Projection is slightly beyond my personal space without filling the room, and sillage is noticeable. Once the air got to the bottle and a little extra maceration, it out performed BDC EDP and would say - at the moment - it performs as well as ADG Profumo. It's a clone of BDC, not the full experience (just like cdnim-aventus thingy), get the og if you want the og vibe. The bottom line is, if you are expecting Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum, this is not your best option. I have tried the BDC EDT before and even though there is a slight inspiration of it, I find the Armaf Iconic too intense and pungent for my nose. The controversy about these two releases is the fact that they clone very sophisticated and complicated fragrances, Polge (senior) and Kurkdjian’s masterpieces, Bleu de Chanel and Baccarat Rouge 540 respectively. But the composition is still missing that citrus punch that BDC normally has and it definitely doesn’t have the smooth slightly sweet amber like the EDP.

I have owned all the BDC’s and probably prefer the EDP overall (they all do slightly different things IMO). When storing the fragrance, be sure to keep it out of direct sunlight and away from extreme heat or cold to help preserve its quality. The opening lasts a bit shorter, while the "super warm amber" of the edp drydown pretty close but not quite there unfortunately. This has been my daily frag for work and I usually spray 1 each at the back of my ears, back of neck and 3 sprays on my shirt. What good is the original having better quality ingredients if it still can't match the performance of a cheaper clone? BDC edp lasts longer on my skin from my 6 year old bottle but Iconic projects just alittle stronger. Anyway, it is now the fourth day, and it is starting to perform the way I imagine whoever perfumed this.Armaf are a reliable, albeit harsher, unrefined, somewhat 1-dimensional CLONE/take on modern, mass-produced, weak, cash-grabbing, zero-performance, low-grade "luxurious" fragrances. I'm getting Dylan Blue after the opening as well so to my nose, Iconic is hybrid for Bdc+Dylan blue, and I get both in the drydown too.

With that said, I received the bottle 4 days ago and upon opening I am greeted with a very harsh scent that could be cloying to those who actually smelled BDCEDP. It's all subjective but I find the melon note and mint more prominent in Armaf's interpretation whereas the OG has slightly more depth. Armaf is known for creating very affordable clones of very successful fragrances, both niche and designer. As you tread to the end, the forest grounds leave you wrapped in the warmth of its musky-earthy base.Edit after a long night at work: stuff stuck to me all night, even at the end of a busy dinner service, (I work in fine dining, where scents have to be strong to stay all night, atleast for me) I was catching whiffs of this stuff all night long. Different enough for me to use it alongside Sauvage, but similar enough to make me smile when I spray it. Performance wise and given the fact that this is more of a summer fragrance, I believe Blue Iconic does a good job in terms of longevity, projection, and sillage.
