This really was not a good fit for me, as I found the writing and story to be almost geared for Young adults. That means getting out of their way, so they naturally feel empowered to do their own thinking, and subsequently their own actions, whilst being fully aware of the choices and the consequences.

Many children and young people with complex health needs, dependent on medical technology are unable to do ordinary things like going to the leisure centre or visiting friends or family. It's so hard to imagine that a life could be so absolutely different because of what is deemed socially acceptable. Wycliffe Noble, one of the film’s contributors, was a pioneering architect and ally of disabled people.I talked to them about how the female butterfly, when she lays her eggs, secretes a special chemical that acts like a glue to secure her eggs to the leaf she chooses. Our project 'An Ordinary Life' aimed to make these simple things in life, that others take for granted, achievable for this group of children and young people. From there, time jumps every decade to let us know what's happened to Molly, and then finally, we're back at the moment when she's writing the letter and encounters yet another tragedy. From this learning we have also produced three factsheets to help families find out what support is available to them and a Need to Know information sheet for policy makers. Amanda Prowse brings to us yet another powerful story of first love, loss, war and the endurance of a woman through all of this.
