IT is a body of text that invites readers to make a mental scrapbook of our very own sources utilising literary and visual devices such as love letters to our ghosts, past lovers, icons, and other complexities such as identity, culture, and baggage. some shameless schmoozing of US Vogue editor Anna Wintour and designer Karl Lagerfeld (in future, it might be best to keep the sycophantic air-kissing to herself); and an unexpected full frontal shot of what one presumes is the author (careful, Ms Chung, or your fanbase might spiral in a disturbing direction). Although I wasn't impressed with this book, at least it was a super quick read that helped me catch up on my Reading Challenge before the year ends.
