This wonderfully refreshing creamy lemon liqueur can be enjoyed year-round. I like to make a batch just in time for gift-giving for Christmas. You can easily make a batch of Crema di Limoncello di Vittoria this weekend and it will be ready for you to bring in the New Year!

HOW LONG TO INFUSE: at least 8 days, best 3 weeks (if you’re using high proof alcohol like Everclear). With lower proof alcohol, like vodka it’s best to infuse for 1 month or more.Making simple syrup - put equal quantites of sugar and water (1 cup/250ml) in a saucepan and bring to boil until sugar has dissolved, let cool. You can also buy this online or in supermarkets. The best limoncello brands are those that use fresh, Italian lemons to make the aperitif, and which do not have too many artificial flavors and ingredients added. Each brand does have a slightly different taste, so this also comes down to personal preference.
