About this deal

Zowie has existed for just over a decade now, and their mission hasn’t changed since they were founded way back in late 2008: to bring the best competitive FPS gaming gear to the public, without any unnecessary frills or feature bloat. You could even use it for FPS gaming as well, since the side button configurations are interchangeable. It had been a while since they released a completely new model though, and with the release of the S line the wait is finally over. When it comes to the shape they might both look similar at first glance but the S has plenty of differences to set it apart and claim its very own spot in Zowie’s lineup of mice and if you’re asking me (bear in mind that this is just my personal opinion) this is their best shape yet.

Zowie are famous for their amazing shapes (among other things) and the S2 and S1 absolutely deserve to wear the Zowie logo in this regard. That’s really an impossible question to answer without knowing things like your hand size, grip style, and some preferences.

BenQ Zowie S2 Symmetrical Gaming Mouse for Esports

What you get here is a very reliable plug and play mouse made for (competitive) shooter games with no frills or distracting elements.

The S has a higher hump so it’ll be more supportive of your palm whilst the FK line is very flat and not ideal for palm grip so I’d say you’re making a good switch to the S series if that’s your grip style though. I don’t particularly like the feeling and look of the coating (particularly after using the mouse) and the scroll wheel could be better, but these are minor annoyances that aren’t so pronounced that they impact my enjoyment of the mouse.

ZOWIE Optical Gaming Mouse (USB/Blue/3200Dpi/5 Buttons) - S2

No one to blame but yourself (or lag) if you miss that absolutely crucial headshot on the enemy healer, in other words. I actually messaged Zowie support prior to publishing the review to make sure and they said nothing has changed so yeah.loving this site great work, currently using g102, looking for an upgrade i was wondering if i should wait for the glorious model o- or get the s2 instead my hands are 17.

Zowie S2 Review (3 months later, still a top 3 mouse) Zowie S2 Review (3 months later, still a top 3 mouse)

I can imagine that Zowie’s loud 16-step wheel got old for a lot of people fast so I think they’ve made a good change here. The S’s shape is designed from the ground up to provide yet another amazing Zowie shape, with all the features that the other Zowie mice are known for, plus an upgraded sensor. Now that the S line is becoming widely available and thus more accessible for a lot of gamers we thought it was time to look at this newest version so we gave a copy over to our reviewer. On the bottom of the mouse there are two large mouse feet which provide a nice, smooth, and controlled glide with virtually no break in time.If you like to rest a lot of your palm on the mouse I’d lean towards the S1 but otherwise I think the S2 is the best option. It’s pretty loud and rigid feeling, but I feel like Zowie has made steps forward when it comes to the overall feeling of it: the scroll wheel on older Zowie models could sometimes feel a little rattly and flimsy, but that’s not the case here.
