About this deal

One of the main differences between the NP-11, NP-12, and NP-32, is that the NP-11 does not have a recording function, whereas the other two do. That’s why I discourage purchasing the FC3A, as it might not work with other keyboards or digital pianos from other manufacturers.

Owner’s Manual • Music Rest • My Yamaha Product User Registration • AC Adaptor: PA-130 or an equivalent * May not be included depending on your particular area.

The NP-32 features a “Graded Soft Touch keyboard” with keys in the bass register having a heavier feel while the high notes are lighter.

As you might have gathered from our past reviews, we’re combing through our ‘ Top 5’ lists, particularly recent ones focused on the budget end of the spectrum. You can transpose the keyboard either up 5 semitones or down 6 semitones to adapt to unfamiliar key signatures. This is great for analysing your performance levels, highlighting just how suitable the NP-12 is for beginners and novices looking to become more skilled. Its compact and lightweight nature clearly puts it squarely into the realm of an affordable home keyboard, whereas, the piano-sized keys and high-quality sounds make it a valuable option for the budding pianist. There are only ten buttons on the face of the keyboard, whereas some other keyboards and synthesizers might intimidate the user with its vast array of buttons, knobs, sliders, and wheels. With Piaggero you can practice and play more—who knows, friends might even start asking you to play at their parties!

With 76 graded soft-touch keys, the NP-32 is the perfect option if you are looking for a larger keyboard with an improved key action. This is standard for nearly all keyboards, and isn’t a big surprise, but it’s still important to mention. Compared to its predecessor, the NP15 features an even better playability as well as more versatile features that will suit the needs of piano/keyboard players of all levels.

I believe there are a bit of software-side velocity modifications yet testing the USB MIDI functionality didn’t show that either. This process includes a thorough visual inspection of the instrument, electronic components including pickups, switches and pots are tested. The lack of other effects such as chorus does sting a little, but it’s a minor loss in the grand scheme of things. The PSR-E353 is excellent for beginners and has more features to help players who are just starting out than the NP-12’s.

If you want to take a video of your performance and share it on platforms like YouTube, TikTok and so on, Rec'n'Share is the way to go. I always prefer to plug pianos and keyboards into the wall, but the battery option is always a nice bonus. You may find yourself needing a more in-depth keyboard down the line (especially since there are only 61 keys on this keyboard), but this is a wonderful place to start.COMPACT KEYBOARD– 61 keys in a piano-style keyboard, 10 quality Voices, USB TO HOST terminal and plug-in your iOS device for added performance functions and easier operation. For those looking for a full-sized stage piano with weighted keys, we highly recommend the Yamaha P-45.
