I felt it was kinda uncompleted for me because even though I knew that the main characters had their happy ending , I still wanted to read about Damiano and his revenge .
I was happy , angry , sad , shocked , all sorts of feelings and the plot twist was unpredictable for me . When I was reading I was expecting this extremely jealous possessive alpha male but to be honest that’s not the vibe I got from him. I wanted the author to allow a little more give in the PC stuff so that the H could be more aggressive and intense. I didn't know what to expect before reading this book - I had never read anything by Gabrielle beforehand but I knew after reading the premise that when the oppurtunity came up to receive this ARC that I wanted to get my hands on it and surely enough I got the chance. vale is so incredibly strong and fierce and while there were a few times she irritated me i loved her nonetheless.

Damiano was a fascinating and sexy character and I think he perfectly balanced his alpha self with a dash of tenderness. Aside from that, the heroine's revelation was pretty interesting and dark, and I thought it would have been better for the romance and plot, as well as the character, if it had been addressed more thoroughly, but sadly, it was not.
When she unravels is a perfect well paced mafia romance story with dual povs and the right amount of spice that'll leave you sweating balls . I really enjoyed the push and pull/tease and test of their initial relationship and just when you were lulled into a sense of familiarity…BAM! When my resistance to him is all but gone, a secret is revealed, and we fall apart like a house of cards. Alsooo the ins and outs of the mafia world were soo in depth like , Gabrielle are you in the Mafia 😅😅😅? I don’t think he handled it well, not the part when he was being mean to her or when he was brooding and feeling bad for it.When she ran after what she did to save herself and a girl who would of been the next victim - I somehow knew that wherever she ended up it would be connected to why the girl was kidnapped in the first place and I was right. The MMC's ( Damiano ) tragic past got me shedding tears and how he grew to this wise , rational and powerful man was mind-blowing . This book is the first book I've ever read by Gabrielle and she had exceeded my expectations so although I really don't like using Goodreads , I HAD to leave a review cuz this book is WOW .
