I also loved the banter on their street WhatsApp group … so much speculation among the ladies about their handsome, eligible new man on the block! When Elizabeth acquires a new neighbour, widower and single Dad, Rafe, Eden realises that she has met him in her previous life and they start to catch up on what has happened since they had last seen each other. But as time has gone on they continue to assume Eden will go along with their plans all the time and it becomes more difficult as she doesn't want to hurt them, but equally she is more than capable of deciding what, or who, she wants in her life. THE REOCCUPATION OF THE DEMILITARISED ZONE OF THE RHINELAND, 7 MARCH 1936 (NYP 68058) German infantry march into the former DMZ (Demilitarised Zone) preceded by their regimental band, 7 March 1936. And one of the best is The Retreat, which is Sarah Pearse’s second best-seller following The Sanatorium, which I loved.

When Eden was old enough, they moved back to France effectively leaving Eden without a family until she met Andy.I’ve read a number of books by this author and they are always extremely enjoyable, in fact they are the sort of books I can’t wait to pick up.

But for Eden things have got very personal as the new resident is non other than her childhood friend Rafe whom she was taken away from so suddenly. A new Home and Away promo shows that Leah and Justin’s relationship is on the rocks, while Rose embarrasses herself in front of Mali, and Marilyn has bitten off more than she can chew with her new business.Eden runs into her old childhood friend, Rafe, who has moved back to Dublin after dealing with his own personal tragedy. As soon as I'm approved, I love to dive right in to NetGalley reads and abandon all other books for the time being. So close in fact, that when her parents died and she was about to leave to go and live with her aunt and uncle, he had begged his parents to let Eden come and live with them. She deals with hard hitting storyline so well and although you get all the feels it doesn’t overwhelm you.

A new Home and Away promo shows that romance is on the cards for Mali and Rose, as Summer Bay’s newest arrival makes a move on the town’s newest cop. This week on Home and Away in Australia, Ziggy’s concern for baby Izzy leads to tension with Dean, while Rose rejects Mali just after a passionate kiss. Biography: Sheila O'Flanagan is the author of over 30 bestselling books, including What Eden Did Next, Three Weddings and a Proposal, The Women Who Ran Away, Her Husband's Mistake, The Hideaway and The Missing Wife. I was left wondering why I have never read anything by her before, as this is a truly delightful book, a heartwarming story of love, loss and second chances that absolutely delivers what it promises. In this lesson students explore a series of extracts from Foreign Office meetings over the German re-occupation of the Rhineland. The story of Eden and Rafe bonding over their grief and single parenthood is heartwarming, yet fairly predictable. Her grief spiralled and, following the birth of her little girl, Lila, Eden suffered post-natal depression and was unable to cope.

Josie Lloyd needs no introduction and in this, her 15th novel, we meet Maddy, whose long marriage has just shattered, due in part to the fact her estranged son Jamie cannot be traced. Eden lost her parents when she was young, and was brought up by her aunt and uncle, who were childless and didn't really know what to do with her. Nobody knows better than Eden that life can change in a heartbeat and Andy’s death had robbed her of the long and happy future she had once envisaged with her husband. Although the reader does occasionally see Eden grappling with her love for her husband and her new love for Rafe, these moments are often short-lived due to the choice of point-of-view. This portrayal of complicated family dynamics in the wake of sudden, tragic loss is incredibly well done, and, while I think the story may have benefitted from the first-person, I admire how O’Flanagan takes the time to give every character’s perspective via the third-person point of view.

And her characters are beautifully drawn – Eden and Rafe both feel very real as they attempt to rebuild their lives, and the supporting cast of the residents of Sycamore Grove, where Rafe lives, provide some gentle humour, particularly through their group WhatsApp messages which are sprinkled throughout the book. Coming up on Home and Away, Justin and Leah are set to escape Summer Bay for a much-needed getaway, and have no idea that they’re heading straight into danger. Lindsay Quayle of LoveReading describes the novel as ‘a joyous tale about love, friendship and healing that will leave you glowing like a warm summer’s day on the Irish coast’ and ‘a captivating exploration of how friendship and love can help us overcome adversity’, by a ‘master storyteller’. This is such a heartwarming book with themes of loss, families and shows how differently people handle their grief.
