This 'psychological' suspense — who killed Greg—has a very strange style; it is told in the 3rd person voices of the two main women, Abby and Sienna, in alternative chapters, but the strange part is that it also has an overlying narrative style in that these women tell the reader what they are really thinking all the time; perhaps to make the reader wonder if they are telling themselves the truth (presumably, given most people don't try to deceive themselves so blatantly), or to fool the reader that both women are rather bizarre unreliable witnesses, even to their own thoughts! It is an especially significant sum at a time of retrenchment and economic uncertainty in the publishing world. Bored of her daily routine and loosened up by wine at a dinner party, Abby finds herself going along with best friend Sienna’s plan for their husbands to swap homes for the night.

Told mainly from 2 different woman's perspectives who became friends and then enemies and then friends and then enemies each one with secrets.He struggles to see her as anything other than a medical secretary, because that’s what she’d been when he’d met her. I love this author's psychological thrillers, they are always extremely well written, addictive reads and The Other Husband is no exception.

She has convinced herself that her confidence is finally genuine, coming only from strength of character that she’s fought hard to develop.

The reason for me picking up this book was a prompt in the popsugar book challenge for which I couldn't find a title from my usual SFF genres. Niffenegger and Campbell collaborated on the visual novel Bizarre Romance to celebrate the Comics Unmasked exhibit at the British Library. She said: "I started working on Alba's life because Zola Books was issuing the ebook for [Time Traveler’s Wife] and they asked for an 'extra'. I would like to thank both Net Galley and Canelo for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review. Niffenegger has no intention of watching the movie because she stated that the characters are only truly hers in the book, not in the movie.What different people they were then, even though only a short time has passed between then and now. My least favourite character for the vast majority of the book was Sienna although I did change my feelings about her a tiny bit by the time the story had finished. This twisty tale of toxic friendships, relationships, lies, deception, consequences, betrayals and secrets is written from the alternating perspectives of two relatable women.
