That also could be the primary reason why the story and its characters never leave a mark but the town definitely does.Who could possibly be responsible for this macabre act, mutilating, murdering and decapitating the horses, horses that belonged to several different owners?

Haunting and very dark, this is certainly worth the read – with the caveat that there are distressing scenes involving animal abuse. An extreme disappointment, complete waste of time, didn't realize how much animal cruelty got to me till reading this book. In het echt weet je ook niet altijd wat er achter iemands voordeur gebeurt, maar hier wordt alles uitvergroot en benadrukt.
