About this deal

Family moments are precious and sometimes you want to capture that time spent with loved ones or friends in better quality than your phone can manage. R WR comparison, below is a table to compare the two to make a better-informed choice about which lens is suitable for you, should you be considering the Fujifilm lens. I prefer 100-135mm, especially for head shots, and so I would prefer the m43 version for easier framing for better looking portraits (for my taste). The aesthetic of out-of-focus specular highlights at wide apertures is pleasing too, with nicely rendered circular highlights in the centre of the frame.

We're taking a look back through 2019 by focusing on one of our all-time favorite photographic subjects – Belvedere, a rescue pup who joined the DPReview team last fall and graced many of our sample galleries over the past 12 months. Portraiture and still life can be a struggle with a crop-sensor camera, especially if you want nice creamy bokeh, giving a sumptuous smoothness to defocused areas. He is Digital Camera World's principal lens reviewer – and has tested more primes and zooms than most people have had hot dinners! If you prefer to browse through my sample images and results, you’ll still find these pages using the tabs above, plus an expanded verdict on the final page! It is the smallest of the Contemporary trio and balances pretty well with the Z30, though it’d also be an excellent match for the Z50 and the Zfc.for sharpness, rendering, speed and more for both stills and video, and have presented my complete review with results in the video below.

An added bonus is that there’s extremely little axial chromatic aberration, even when shooting wide-open. It’s the smallest of the three DC DN lenses Sigma has made and is noticeably more compact than the company’s 16mm f/1. Canon appears to have abandoned EF-M and Sigma is only going to invest effort in mounts with a future. And at our photoclub I also have seen some people that I don't know that well going back to the brands they came from and whom use to be Fujifilm users. At this focal length that can lead to issues with sharpness if you’re attempting to shoot at low ISOs / slow shutter speeds, so it’s worth remembering that when using the lens.I'm not sure I have a preference that applies across the board, other than I like both extremes and found myself bored at 50mm (equivalent), but that might just be a comment on my inexperience. both of which have optical stabilisation), but all new Olympus, Panasonic and Sony bodies feature built-in stabilisation, so it’s not an issue going-forward. DC DN | Contemporary), which are currently available in four mounts (Sony E-mount, Canon EF-M mount, Micro Four Thirds mount and L-Mount) will be simultaneously released in X Mount, and the lineup will expand in the future. I would recommend the combination as an affordable starting point to anyone starting out taking portraits. While Canon has persevered with its EOS M series of cameras for a number of years, there are currently only eight native own-brand lenses available, none of which has an ideal focal length and aperture rating for portraiture.
