However, the cord winds out for up to 26 metres, which is the average length a Henry vacuum cleaner can stretch to.And I like that it has a long reach - I usually find it tricky to vacuum under my King size bed from the sides because it’s fairly close to the walls. Its performance on carpets isn’t great, especially as there’s no motorised brush bar to stir up deeper dirt. With up to x10 more capacity than many other cordless vacuums, Henry Cordless doesn't even need to stop to empty. And although there aren’t multiple suction levels to choose from, you can control the suction somewhat by twisting the air flow regulator on the top tube. A minor complaint is that this model doesn’t come with “Hi” and “Lo” cleaning modes, like other versions of the Hetty.

I really like the long bristles on Hetty’s dusting brush, it reduces the risk of scratching surfaces. She’s an affordable, no-frills vacuum that might not have the strongest suction power, but is capable enough for most daily tasks. The floorhead is fine, my carpets were left looking clean, but I noticed some bits remained in a long pile rug, so I don't feel like it has the suction power to perform a really deep clean.

Add to that all the usual benefits of the Henry range such as 9 litre capacity, a sturdy frame and reliable, long-lasting performance and you have the perfect addition for any pet lover’s home. The upholstery tool can be used with or without the brushes, when the brushes are attached, it works well for a gentle clean and spruce up.

It comes with that large 9L capacity dustbin, fantastic reach, and has multiple attachments included. There may be lighter and sleeker models available, but it is by no means too cumbersome and its impressive storage capacity, means you’ll have plenty of time before you need to change the bags.
