It didn't take too long for ours to be ready to hatch but the children were really impatient about it! My eldest did manage to do this BUT we both said we preferred the hatching process with the Hatchimals Hatchibabies.It’s good that you have highlighted some of the downsides though, I think the previous ones that are more exciting to hatch and that you can cuddle might be a better fit for some kids.
The Llalacorn is also supposed to “chase the fruit”, growing up as she reached for her strawberry, and coming back down as you move it lower. A hatchimal that not only grows and changes in size, but can be hatched over and over again, waking up in one of 10 different moods!Just be careful, in the box packaging is the food for the Hatchimal, my children missed it when they were opening it in their excitement and we had to go back to look for it - just worth noting in the excitement of Christmas day! Hold it against it's tummy and it will chase it downwards, hold it against it's forehead to chase it upwards. We changed the batteries to a new set, as it is recommended after the first hatching and it still wasn’t doing anything.
You can’t cuddle it and be close to it when you are playing with it, as it has to be on a flat surface. Hatchimals WOW are the newest Hatchimals product to hit the market and we were so excited to test one out. We have since gone on to review a number of Hatchimals products, from Hatchimals Glittering Garden to HatchiBabies as well as Hatchimals CollEGGtibles and Hatchimals Pixies. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from the hatching process as both the girls and I were used to the cracking experience from previous Hatchimals products. Unfortunately for us the Hatchimals WOW didnt quite live up to our expectations, but based on other reviews I think we have just been a little unlucky this time around.The Hatchimals Wow takes four AA batteries and they come include with batteries so it's ready to play as soon as you take the egg out of the box. I remember we were so excited with previous Hatchimals products, as it slowly hatched but this time it was quickly and not as fun. If I am totally honest I was a little bit underwhelmed, as essentially the Llalacorn just extends his neck and pushes the base of the egg up in one complete piece, which you then manually remove to reveal the character (and it’s colour) below. Be careful not to squeeze the egg too much when you do this or the egg top could pop off before she’s ready to hatch!
I think if you are happy just to play randomly with it you will be ok, but if you are determined to make it do what it is supposed to you might struggle. While it is signing and dancing you can touch it's forehead to make it sing higher and touch a toe to make it sing lower. The eyes on our Hatchimals WOW have stopped glowing or changing colour, so I am not entirely sure ours is working correctly.Your Hatchimal will get scared with blue eyes, if you are quiet for a bit and then make a loud sound with your voice for two seconds to scare it. As you can see though, it has a mind of it's own really, the biggest surprise is what it will do next!
