Our tasters felt that while it still had a pleasant taste of vanilla and cashew nuts, and gave them a decent sugar hit, it wasn't as sweet as some others we tried. If Fulfil rebranded this bar and named it “Nougaty Crunch Bar” or something similar, I’d absolutely love it. This bar was a firm favourite with our group of tasters, many felt it was the best one we tried all day. If you’re after salted caramel flavor, this bar will fall short, but it’s still a very delicious protein bar overall. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavour of this fruity bar containing vitamins and collagens.

I’ve been in the fitness industry for nearly 15 years now, and I’ve eaten every protein snack under the sun. The peanut butter flavor itself is rather subtle, but there is a very strong saltiness to this one that makes it almost unpleasant.They use all-natural ingredients, including egg whites, rice protein and almonds as the protein source, and mixed candied peels and coconut sugar for sweetness. Some people find protein bars difficult to digest – it’s best to include them gradually into your diet, and see how you get on. The soft orange caramel and chocolate centre is encased in a layer of milk chocolate and studded with crispy biscuit grains on the outside – in other words it's choc-orange heaven. The major difference between these bars and Barebells protein bars is that when it comes to Barebells, I haven’t had a flavor I do not like. They remind me a lot of Barebells, which are some of my favorite protein bars, but the flavors are a little less impressive with these.

The bar’s crispy and light texture combined with FULFIL’s signature moreish milk chocolate flavour and delicious caramel creates a healthier on-the-go snac. They also enjoyed the fudgy centre, gooey caramel and crunchy rice balls – combined these gave the feel of a chocolate bar. Not only is this protein bar jam-packed with hazelnut pieces, but the top layer of chocolate is incredibly soft, almost resembling fudge. These bars are slightly smaller than most bars out there, so you’re getting 15g of protein to the usual 20g of protein in most protein bars, but many people will love the smaller snack size. Regardless of the flavor, each of these Fulfil protein bars contains roughly 160 calories and 15g of protein, making it a quality high-protein snack.Considering this bar is salted caramel, you’d hope that the interior would feature a nice caramel layer, right?

However, Fulfil bars do not yet have the wide range of flavors available in the US that they have in the UK. Based on a traditional Italian recipe (allegedly used to fuel the Roman legions), these are pleasingly reminiscent of panforte. Barebells protein bars are firmly in my top 3 protein bars out there, and while two of the Fulfil protein bar flavors are very similar, they’re not enough to crack into my favorite protein bars of all time.

Whether you're fuelling up for a workout or beating the afternoon slump, this bar will do the trick. The exterior of this bar is loaded up with crispy puffed rice, leading me to believe that this bar is going to have an amazing Crunch Bar-like texture. The flavor accuracy (or lack thereof) of the peanut butter and chocolate peanut bars is holding these bars back from an overall standpoint. An indulgent hazelnut centre covered in creamy milk chocolate and topped with crunchy hazelnut pieces, all with the added benefits of 20g protein, low sugar and 9 multivitamins.I’d have loved there to be an actual caramel layer in this bar, not just for the texture, but for the actual caramel flavor as well. If it weren’t for the fact that this is supposed to taste like salted caramel, this one would be a real winner for me. Dark chocolate coating surrounds a soft, silky salted caramel centre topped with a layer of crunchy crispies, with all the added benefits of 20g protein, low sugar and 9 multivitamins. Overall, the combination of chocolate and hazelnut definitely gave me some Nutella vibes, which is something that’s usually missing in anything hazelnut flavored (like Nick’s ice cream).
