There is a lot about what it is to move in the world as a wealthy woman, a white woman, an Asian woman and all the big and small differences between them. Despite some of the serious themes, there was a lightheartedness to the story that made this a well-balanced read. Though it must be said that at this point Chinese businesses and purchasers have beaten us at our own game. Swift, surprising, and sharply comic, Counterfeit is a stylish and feminist caper with a strong point of view and an axe to grind.The way the story was structured, plus the fast pace of the plot, definitely made for a fascinating read!
