Sarah is immensely proud of Britain's amazing illustrators and how well their pictures tell stories. In the case of space cakes, the hallucinatory effects are often prolonged and much stronger than with other uses.

I would consider reading a book by these authors again, as I believe they have the talent to generate a more mature story, that would be appealing from my point of view. As always, two things shine through: McIntyre's unique, wacky illustrations and Reeve's balance of deep and meaningful language with an easy-to-follow, fun plot.
