The stitchesdon’thave to bereally neat, it’s all about having the badges on your uniform and learning a new skillif you’ve never done it before. Brownie holidays were the best, whether it was a weekend away at a hut in the countryside or in a massive hall with a group of other Brownies from different units it was such a great bonding experience. Badges can be attached to her uniform – the promise badge, which she’ll get after making her Brownie promise, should be on the left-hand side and all other badges can be attached where she chooses.

The 12×12 Challenge is an opportunity for Rangers to try new activities, learn new things and HAVE FUN!The law was actually pretty cute and set a pathway for thousands of girls across the world: “A Brownie Guide thinks of others before herself and does a good turn every day. A Brownie completes a few different activities to enable Leaders to get to know them as well as introduce them to the Brownie programme and rangatahi in the Unit. The requirements for each badge are slightly different but include: Sunshine Unit badges, Discover badges, Interest badges, Whānui badges, Leadership activities and Guiding Events. Dd has some brownies badges that she’s earned since October, but as she’d only been attending on zoom, the badges have just been sat in a to pile until now. With a helpful hand from our encouraging volunteers, she’ll explore her creative side, get out into the great outdoors, and start learning to look after herself, others and the world we live in.

We live in a digital world, so considering their online presence and safety is part of Ranger Skills too. The Interest certificates are designed to challenge Rangers to extend their knowledge and skills in areas that may be new to them.Promise badges-These should be worn on the badge sash or worn on the left-hand side of their uniform, closest to their heart. By attaching them to your uniform it shows all the activities and challengesyou’vedone while being a part of your section. You can just add them as she earns them, or have sections for Interest Badges/Skills Builders (the little hexagonal ones)/Theme Awards (larger shield shapes)/any other special ones your unit does. Once they have completed these activities a Ranger Promise Ceremony takes place and they receive their Promise Badge. So please ensure that you allow time for the payment processing when paying by credit card to ensure that payments are received by the required due dates.At international events, Brownies can wear the UK international neckerchiefalong with, or instead of, a national neckerchief for Girlguiding Cymru, Scotland or Ulster. GirlGuiding New Zealand uses Online Guide Manager (OGM) to manage all Guiding administration online. If they have linked up from Brownies and made their Promise as a Brownie they will not make it again as a Guide.
