Black Water Lilies: A stunning, twisty murder mystery

The rest of the supporting characters are also quite well developed and will leave an impression in the minds of the readers. The mystery brings brash young Inspector Laurenç to the postcard-perfect Norman village of Giverny, home to Impressionist Claude Monet’s gardens and studio. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc.

At points this reminded me of one of those ancient pirate (Errol Flynn- if any of you even know who he was) black and white films where the sword play and stabbings finale lasted 20 minutes and used 3 levels of the ship's structure. I found it incredibly hard to connect with the characters due to all the long drawn out descriptions. When you finish, you will seriously either want to reread it, or spend a LOT of time trying to piece things together. Once again, Michel Bussi, created magic with this book, where I'm left with no words to describe or express my feelings towards this book, as it is so irresistible beyond my own imagination, I mean, how can someone create something so addictive yet dark, just like a deadly drug? and I didn't like any of the characters, especially not Laurenc Serenac or Stephanie Dupain but if you're going to review this with spoilers, TAG THEM AS SPOILERS YOU LITTLE SHITS.

Me ha gustado mucho la trama de este cómic y las ilustraciones también están muy bien, me ha dejado con ganas de leer la novela de Bussi. Bussi mescola la voce narrante: a volte a parlare è la vecchia ottantenne che cammina indefessa appoggiandosi a un bastone di cui non sembra aver bisogno - peccato che la signora abbia l’abitudine di rivolgersi direttamente a noi lettori, pratica che trovo irritante. She describes both villagers and tourists with an acid wit, and provides a brooding presence as she prowls around the crime scene, largely unnoticed (as she comments) because people don’t notice old women. Therefore, the parent plant will stay afloat, and the new plant can separate itself from the parent plant by going through a process that is referred to as the rhizome division. I would still say that I am only that more excited to read the original novel to see if I will get more answers from there.Water lilies are heavy feeders and benefit from a slow release fertilizer specially prepared for aquatic plants such as Growth Balls which can simply be pushed into the soil. Honesty in one panel if the boy hadn’t been wearing clothes that are normally only wore by pre-teen boys, it would have looked like two teens hanging out. And what is the connection to the mysterious 'Black Water Lilies', a rumoured masterpiece by Monet that has never been found?
