About this deal

Well I just hear it. To mesure it precisely I just record both my bass direct + the sound game return: my bass goes to the MOTU using the head DI output (or AES/EBU when not playing the game When you play on PC, the computer’s microphone does a reasonably good job of grabbing the sounds from your guitar. You’ll see the results without much latency on the screen. Although this switch’s purpose was to let acoustic or classical guitar players make progress, it’ll work for your electric guitar without much hassle.

The extra cost you pay is for a guarantee that the cord works with the instrument to let you play immediately. The only difference is that the game doesn’t detect your efforts because you’re not transmitting any sound to it. When you cannot secure a guitar cable and adapter that meets your needs, it is possible to play the game still using a dedicated audio interface. Although the sound goes through more equipment when using this method, the quality is still better because of the cable’s construction. When you can duplicate the connectors at home, the game still plays with your instrument. You can accomplish this setup in two ways.I even tested the HDMI audio output of my graphics card (GTX 680): same problem, only 2x 1024 working, huge latency... This option can still help you learn how to play the guitar, but it doesn’t provide the interactive aspects that make it such a fun way to play!

When you prefer to use the branded products, a new Real Tone Cable guarantees that you can start playing again. The experience is much better with this option because you’ll get a direct audio signal into the game.

That's really weird. Perhaps my PC is too powerfull, the timers are failing because it's too fast? lol Although the instrument design is excellent for the game, setting up the technology to perform is a different story. That means you won’t get any interference from the mic when playing your guitar into it for the game when set up correctly. But with the game, no way. On double notes on fast songs I'm hearing a complete note late, like having a permanent slow delay. If you have not encountered issues with your Real Tone Cable yet, it might only be a matter of time before problems arise.

Ubisoft doesn’t offer drivers to support the gameplay experience. That means your computer must recognize the guitar, or you don’t get to play! What most players discovered is that the issue with the Real Tone Cable starts with the USB connection.

It should only take a couple of milliseconds for your instrument to send the playing information to the game. If it takes longer than this time, you might struggle to accomplish your goals in the game.
