About this deal

I really love the hidden display that only illuminates when you need it or you press a button. This is a great power-saving feature that has become a part of our smartphones. I think Motorola did a good job with the battery. It is pretty solid. The rechargeable battery lasted way above the stated the 10 hours battery life the day we stayed out really late. This could be because the device wasn’t in constant use. Additionally, the T800 radio supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to connect their smartphones through the Motorola TALKABOUT app. This app enables users to share location information, access real-time weather updates, and communicate with a larger group of people. Frequency spectra are somewhat arbitrary groups selected to some extent for the benefit of regulators, but VHF is 136-174 MHz and immediately above it is UHF at 400 to 512 MHz. This makes them better able to penetrate structure, so people sometimes think of UHF as ‘more powerful.’

The T82 walkie talkie has all the basic features that you would expect: free communication, low price, durability and compact and modern design. As for the AA batteries, they powered the radio the whole day without getting a low battery warning from the walkie talkie. That was nice. It turned out that long timeout was the correct decision. Except for technical details and functions linked to the absence of some features relative to the T600, testing the T460 felt rather familiar. The sort of feeling you get from using an old trusted device. On the left side of the radio are four buttons. Two of these are dedicated push-to-talk (PTT) buttons for high and low power transmissions respectively. The other two are the flashlight on/off switch (the flashlight is located at the top) and emergency button. The T82 Extreme gives you free communications because it does not require subscriptions or licenses.

T800 TALKABOUT How to: Setting up the app - Motorola

Frequencies on the electromagnetic spectrum are divided into broad categories (visible light is one of these) and the subcategories are known as channels. For convenience, these are named with simple numbers within GMRS/FRS For example, Channel 1 is 462.5625 MHz. I could tell they were rookies in all things walkie talkies. I mean, only newbies come to an outdoor event with 2-way radios without prior testing. It's not overly small and light, but it's not big and heavy either. The battery life isn't amazing, but it's decent enough. It's claimed to be water-resistant, but there's no IP rating. You get the idea: there's nothing exceptional about this walkie-talkie, but if this is the price you were aiming at, it offers good value overall.

Family Radio Service is an FCC defined set of channels – 22 + 8 for repeaters – shared with GMRS, however FRS does not require a license as it is limited to lower power. These channels are 462-467 MHz UHF.. Baofeng has iterated this product a couple of times and, though those prepared to get involved in the GMRS spec (and the license required), this handset is an affordable way to experiment with the possibilities. This version has the functionvibrating alertto work without disturbing andof iVOX feature. You can enjoy hands-free communication. Communicating – The PTT button is conveniently located on the side making it easy to exchange messages. The audio reception was clear even in windy situations. I didn’t have to repeat myself most of the time.
