Quality - As you change the Quality, the amount of disk space needed per hour of recording will also change. Quality is measured in Mbps (Megabits per second), and each Elgato Gaming device has a different maximum Mbps value.

Elgato Game Capture devices capture sound in stereo (2.0) format. Make sure the PlayStation 4 is set to output Linear PCM. This controls the bitrate and therefore quality of the audio of your stream. Between 128Kbps to 160Kbps is a good place to start. More specifically, that means that the software will be able to use your PC's graphics processor to help encode and decode video. The available options will vary depending on what computer you are using.

There is a lot of options inside of OBS Studio, but not all apply to the basics of using your Elgato Game Capture HD60 S+. So, we will focus on the basics.
